Step One
Free: Fill out the client intake form.
Step Two
Free: A lawyer who has expertise in the relevant area of law will be designated to defendant’s case. You will receive an initial evaluation by e-mail from the lawyer regarding what the defendant’s legal options are.
Step Three
Based on the legal options presented, you decide whether you want to pay for a personal phone consultation with the defendant’s lawyer. By the time of the consultation, defendant’s lawyer will have spoken to the trial attorney, completed preliminary legal research, and determined whether there are any viable legal issues to raise.
The lawyer will discuss with you:
- what you / defendant think went wrong in the case
- the facts of the case in greater detail
- the available legal procedures and their consequences
- the likelihood of success for each legal option
For the above services and the phone consultation, there is a flat fee of $250.00, with a one hour maximum for the phone conversation. Should you decide that you would like additional phone time, it will be charged at $200.00 / hour, in half-hour increments.
Step Four
If you decide to proceed, defendant’s lawyer will tell you what the next step in the legal process is and how much it will cost. The fee spent on step three will be credited to the cost of step four. You decide whether you want to take the next step.
