Tara Selver is an accomplished and effective criminal appellate attorney and has represented clients in a wide variety of cases ranging from environmental and white collar crime to serious and violent felonies including multiple count murders. Ms. Selver’s practice consists of complex litigation of state law claims and state and federal constitutional issues at both the trial and appellate levels. Ms. Selver is astute at raising issues of legal importance and significance as evidenced by numerous published decisions wherein she was counsel, as well as authoring several legal publications:

During law school, Ms. Selver was a member of Law Review and her casenote was the first to be selected for inclusion on the Westlaw database from the University of New Mexico Law School. Ms. Selver received her A.B. cum laude, graduating from Vassar College with Departmental and General Honors in 1978. Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Selver was Legislative Analyst to then – New Mexico State Liquor Director James R. Baca, and subsequently, Legislative Consultant to then – New Mexico Governor Bruce King.

Randy Kravis

Randy Kravis’s practice is limited exclusively to criminal appeals and writs. Mr. Kravis began his legal career in the Navy JAG Corps, where he served for four years as a lieutenant. During his service, he received several honors and awards, including the prestigious Navy Commendation Medal for his work as an appellate attorney. Mr. Kravis also graduated magna cum laude from American University Law School, was inducted into the law school’s Honor Society, and served as an editor on Law Review. Mr. Kravis’s practice is dedicated to helping defendants appeal their convictions in both the federal and state courts. In the course of his career as an appellate attorney, he has handled hundreds of appeals and writs of habeas corpus. He is pleased to be of counsel to the talented group of attorneys that make up The Law Office of Tara Selver.

Shan D. Potts

Shan D. Potts is an experienced immigration attorney who has dedicated his legal career to fighting for and protecting the rights of immigrants, both documented and undocumented. Mr. Potts has represented hundreds of immigrants facing removal from the United States, including those charged with, or convicted of, criminal conduct. Mr. Potts is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, Southwestern School of Law, and has completed graduate studies at the University of Guanajuato Law School in Guanajuato, Mexico, and is therefore fluent in Spanish. Additionally, Mr. Potts is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the first and largest immigration attorney association in the United States. While an attorney with El Rescate Legal Services, Mr. Potts was honored with the El Rescate Award for the extensive pro bono legal services he provided. Mr. Potts has also been counsel in several federal cases before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal in which the decisions were published. He is happy to be of counsel to the attorneys selected to constitute The Law Office of Tara Selver. |
